British Columbia Enacts New Measures to Support Mining 
December 6, 2008  The Mining Flow-Through Share Tax Credit was introduced in B.C. in 2001, paralleling a federal program. The 20 per cent B.C. Mining Flow-Through Share Tax Credit is available only to individuals. The combined effect of the flow-through share deduction, the federal credit and the provincial credit for an individual investor is to reduce the cost of a $1,000 investment to about $383. 
TD Investment Loan Program has been changed 
November 17, 2008  The current state of the markets when combined with volatility that could extend for an unknown length of time has made it necessary to review and make changes to our investment loan program on a “go forward” basis. In addition, given extreme margin compression that could also extend for an extended period, we are changing our rates and amending our rate structure.

Bank of Canada lowers overnight rate target by 1/4 percentage point to 2 1/4 per cent 
October 21, 2008  OTTAWA - The Bank of Canada today announced that it is lowering its target for the overnight rate by one-quarter of a percentage point to 2 1/4 per cent. The operating band for the overnight rate is correspondingly lowered, and the Bank Rate is now 2 1/2 per cent.

October 16, 2008  VICTORIA Oct. 16, 2008 – The October sale of oil and gas rights resulted in a total of over $151 million in bonus bids. Yesterday’s sale brings the fiscal year-to-date total to $2.17 billion, Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Minister Richard Neufeld announced today.
