According to statistics over the next few years approximately 520 new jobs for welders will emerge with another 750 jobs being vacated due to the retirement of individuals.

The salary range for welders is between 15 to 25 dollars per hour depending on individual’s qualifications and what offers the employer.

There are three levels of specialists for this occupation: A, B, C. While welders with level A and B have enjoyed a great deal of employment longevity during economic downturn, professionals with ticket C had difficult times.

What kind of personality fits well for this profession?

It should be tolerant and flexible, quiet observer person, able to act quickly to find workable solutions for the problem appeared. This person has great ability to analyze, organize facts, has math skills, using strong logical principles.

According to the table below, between 2008 and 2013 the growth for welders is expected to equal 1.1 % per year. This growth will take place due to the large numbers of welders’ retirement.
